Bowling Green, KY Wedding Photographers

When we were brainstorming location ideas for their springtime engagement photos, I sent AmyLynne a couple of location ideas that I thought might speak to her – when she saw the cherry blossoms on WKU’s campus on the list, she said “OMG yes, let’s wait for the cherry blossoms!”
If you know anything about the cherry blossoms, you know that they are fleeting and do not stick around for long! And some years (depending on weather) they don’t quite reach their “peak”, and tend to look a little bare (or if they do reach their peak, it’s only for a day or two). But these finnicky little blooms are so beautiful and create such a MAGICAL setting, it’s soooo worth it when you can catch them. 🌸✨🌸✨🌸
So, we set a tentative date for photos based on the “peak bloom date” of cherry blossoms in years past, which just so happened to be the day before both AmyLynne & Addison were leaving for their respective bachelor/ette parties… so we really needed this date to work! I told AmyLynne we’d keep an eye on the National Park Service “Bloom Watch” and the weather, all while keeping our fingers crossed. But of COURSE, rainy weather was on the forecast the entire week leading up to our shoot. Nevertheless, we held onto hope that the stars would align, the skies would clear up, and we’d still be good for the date we set…
And LO & BEHOLD, as we’re grabbing drinks with AmyLynne & Addison a mere hour before our session start time, the skies cleared, the sun came out, and we all rejoicedddd because the cherry blossoms were also the fluffiest and biggest I had seen them in years!!! When I tell you we were all on cloud 9 and feeling so giddy, you just have to attribute that to the magic of these tiny little blooms. 🌸🥹
We had the most fun session (in case you can’t tell just by looking at these giggly lovebirds hehe) and truly had the best time with these two. They showed up ready to have fun and make the most of whatever the day brought us (I mean come onnn the pink suit is everything!!!), and I’m confident that even if it had rained and we had to pivot plans, it still would have been amazing because these two just had the best attitude.
Cannot wait to keep these good vibes going and celebrate with them at their wedding in Mayyyyy!!!
