These two showed us what it looks like to be fully present for their wedding day. Not worried about the timeline, not concerned about what was happening next, just fully engaged with every moment as the day unfolded. And though they might have been unworried, they certainly were eager… so eager, in fact, that they prematurely kissed during their ceremony, much to the amusement of the guests. (Seriously, this day was full of so much laughter — it was the best.)

It’s hard to peg a favorite moment from their day because there were so many special ones. Chelsea’s sweet first looks with her dad, bridesmaids, and Luke brought on so many happy tears… Luke’s grandpa, a minister, officiated their incredibly heartfelt ceremony… and so many more unplanned, magical moments that we were fortunate enough to witness. Mellwood Arts Center was truly the perfect backdrop for this artistic couple, providing backgrounds on backgrounds for photos (speaking of art, Luke designed their invitations and paper goods, including custom stickers of their pup, Pickles, in a tracksuit. We took 3 LOL). Pizza was served for dinner, and the dance floor STAYED popping for several hours straight.

This day was such a dream and such a reflection of the love and life that Chelsea and Luke have cultivated together. It’s always an honor when fellow creatives entrust us with documenting their wedding, and we consider ourselves lucky to have gotten to be part of their day.
