DOWNTOWN LOUISVILLE ENGAGEMENT | BAILEY AND JACKSON

Louisville Engagement Photographers

Bailey and Jackson’s downtown Louisville engagement photo session felt so easy from the jump. No big production, no complicated plan… Just an evening stroll through the city together and documenting what naturally unfolded.

Their dynamic is romantic, calm, and completely effortless. Bailey is a fashion queen with a steady, warm presence, and Jackson is just the easiest person in the world to get along with. These two didn’t show up to over-perform; they just exist comfortably next to each other, and that kind of connection photographs so beautifully.

It felt like we had downtown all to ourselves. Traffic was slow and shadows stretched as the city got quieter. We were able to wander without rushing, stopping wherever the light felt right. Finding pockets of peace while still feeling rooted in the city they spend their time in together. I love sessions like these that feel more like a normal night out, just documented.

At sunset, we knew we wanted to wrap our session at Dog Hill in Cherokee Park (where their baby, Fletcher, was going to meet us with his dog-sitter)! Our entire session up to this point had been such a blast, but once we got to Cherokee Park I truly feel like Bailey & Jackson had completely forgotten about the camera (which is always our goal). In our humble opinion, the best engagement sessions happen when people stop trying to do “engagement photos” and just spend time together. Bailey and Jackson did exactly that, and their photos reflect it — moments that were entirely theirs.

If you’re planning your own engagement session and want something that feels natural rather than overly posed, a slower paced session like this makes alllll the difference.
