TAYVIN GARDENS WEDDING | GRACIE AND GAVIN

June 29, 2024

June 29th was undoubtedly the hottest day of the year, but this was the best crew to brave the heat with! Spirits stayed high in spite of the sweat, and this ended up being such a sweet & meaningful day for Gracie & Gavin.

These two are incredibly easy-going, and I don’t think Gracie was worried for a single second on her wedding day. Instead of doing a first look, these two opted for a “first touch”, holding hands back to back and reading letters from each other. And don’t even get me started on Gracie and her dad… these two had me in TEARS multiple times throughout the day. They have the sweetest dynamic and it was a joy to photography. But to be completely honest, Gracie & Gavin’s nieces stole the show, running around in their mismatched fairy dresses all day!

We were all dripping sweat by the time the sun went down, but it gave us the most beautiful lighting for sunset portraits in the garden! This was the part Gracie told us she was most excited for, so I was beyond stoked that we could deliver on these for her. We had an amazing day with this crew, plus it’s ALWAYS a treat to shoot at Tayvin Gardens near Bowling Green – best caterers in the whole damn world!

Please enjoy some of our favorite images from Gracie & Gavin’s big day!

about us

we're shelley AND portugal

Before we were wedding photographers, we were just two kids in love. We met on Instagram and fell in love over FaceTime. A shared interest in roadkill portraiture is what brought us together (it’s a funny story), but what ultimately compelled us to take a chance on long-distance is the fact that we weren’t looking for surface-level. We craved a shared life full of connection, vulnerability, and the kind of love that changes you. Now we bring that same energy to your wedding day to capture the real story, not a performance.
