Brown Hotel and Waterfront Park Film Engagement Session in Louisville KY
We first crossed paths with Lindsey at her cousin Lauren’s wedding back in 2021, and then again at Maggie & Lloyd’s wedding last summer. So when she reached out after her engagement to Jack, we were beyond honored! They’re the sweetest, most joyful couple— all smiles throughout their session and totally game for our spur-of-the-moment artsy ideas 😆
Since these photos needed to be ready for save-the-dates, Lindsey suggested an indoor session at The Brown Hotel in downtown Louisville so we could hide from the winter cold! And we’re glad we did, because it ended up being WAY chilly outside (snow on the ground 🥶). We had so much fun exploring this historic landmark hotel with them before catching the sunset at Waterfront Park. Lindsey was such a trooper, never complaining about the cold— she’s stronger than me, that’s for sure!
This session was a mix of film and digital photography. Lindsey requested some film shots, which perfectly captured the classic, Old Hollywood vibe of the two of them against the opulent and historic backdrop of The Brown Hotel. The 35mm film added a timeless, cinematic touch that really elevated the session.
