WHITEHALL WEDDING | AMANDA AND RAYMOND

October 25, 2025

Amanda and Raymond wanted their Louisville wedding to feel like a memory while it was happening. They reached out to us about our documentary photography, trusting us to capture the moments that would naturally unfold to tell the day’s story. They chose Whitehall as their venue because, let’s face it, this gorgeous house does a LOT of the heavy lifting visually. Their desire was to be able to join in on the mingling & mixing, for their guests to be able to wander the gardens, and for the reception to feel like an oversized dinner party. These solid intentions, plus the immaculate skill on the part of their planner Veronica (s/o Big Day Events!) successfully made this vision come to life.

As photographers, this day was not only a visual feast (those Jamie Fairman Florals tho), but also a day full of connection and big, beautiful emotions on display in real time. Inside, bubbly Amanda (who is a real life Disney princess, no?) got ready with her bridesmaids, who legit looked like the Sleeping Beauty fairies in their mismatched dresses. Outside, Raymond and the guys made time to play a little baseball on the front lawn. And one of our favorite intentional details from the day had to be the ofrenda they set up to honor their loved ones who had passed. With the wedding falling the week before Día de los Muertos, it was a deeply intentional reminder that not everyone present was visible, but very much felt.

Enjoy some of our favorites from this very special, very “Amanda-and-Raymond” day ❤️

about us

we're shelley AND portugal

Before we were wedding photographers, we were just two kids in love. We met on Instagram and fell in love over FaceTime. A shared interest in roadkill portraiture is what brought us together (it’s a funny story), but what ultimately compelled us to take a chance on long-distance is the fact that we weren’t looking for surface-level. We craved a shared life full of connection, vulnerability, and the kind of love that changes you. Now we bring that same energy to your wedding day to capture the real story, not a performance.
