939 ADAMS WEDDING | CALLIE AND ZACK

March 23, 2019

CALLIE AND ZACK’S WEDDING AT THE VENUE AT 939 ADAMS

Getting to photograph Callie & Zack’s wedding day was really special. I (Shelley) got to document Callie’s big sister Morgan’s wedding video 5 years prior, and I absolutely love this family. They have been such huge supporters of ours, which just made the whole experience that much more special.

Callie & her family are super close, so it was easy capturing real moments of them together on the wedding day. One of my favorites was when Callie’s mom was putting on her veil, and Callie’s niece Corbin came over to “help”. That’s one of the best things about weddings in my opinion. People will say it’s all about you as the bride/groom, but that’s not necessarily true. It’s also about all the people they’ve asked to come be part of this day and celebrate with them.

Callie & Zack are proud Kentuckians, and honored those roots with a wedding at one of Bowling Green‘s coolest historic venues. They had their first look together in the old tobacco loft, and said their vows in the main warehouse space. Despite being an older building with original character, 939 Adams provides so much natural window light — a photographer’s DREAM. It’s one of those rare venues where you could easily document the entire day without ever leaving the building! However, the weather was absolutely gorgeous so of course we had to take advantage of golden hour!

Enjoy some of our favorite images from this beautiful, laid-back wedding day!

about us

we're shelley AND portugal

Before we were wedding photographers, we were just two kids in love. We met on Instagram and fell in love over FaceTime. A shared interest in roadkill portraiture is what brought us together (it’s a funny story), but what ultimately compelled us to take a chance on long-distance is the fact that we weren’t looking for surface-level. We craved a shared life full of connection, vulnerability, and the kind of love that changes you. Now we bring that same energy to your wedding day to capture the real story, not a performance.
