Catharine & Hunter reached out to us during the pandemic while planning their 2022 wedding. She remembered us from her cousin Megan’s wedding in 2018 and told us she knew from that day she wanted us to photograph her own. Truly the greatest compliment 😭
After two years of planning, their vision came to life in a stunning spring wedding at Yew Dell Gardens just outside Louisville, KY. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create an unforgettable guest experience. Planned and executed by Christy from Christina Burton Events, the design felt timeless, elegant, and refined (a perfect reflection of Catharine herself – she reminds me sooo much of an old-time movie star!)
One of the greatest gifts a couple can give their photographers is trust. Catharine encouraged us to document the day freely and honestly. That kind of creative freedom allows us to fully immerse ourselves and capture every moment exactly as it unfolded.
This day was made possible by an absolutely star-studded team of Louisville vendors. Christy Burton & her team kept the day running along seamlessly. Zachary Brady Designs installed the most mind-blowing spring florals (literally everywhere, the place was dripping in flowers!). Yew Dell Gardens hosted the festivities in their immaculate gardens. The Mischief Maker created probably the most amazing cake I will ever see in my life. Local Louisville artist Jenny Westenhofer did a live-painting at the reception. Lady Fingers Catering provided a delicious and elevated dinner menu. And Top Tier Band out of Nashville kept the dance floor bumping all night long!
(Shoutout to all the other vendors on this dream team):
