Catharine & Hunter reached out to us during the pandemic about their 2022 wedding (obviously, long engagements came back in style during 2020!) They remembered us from Catharine’s cousins wedding back in 2018, and Catharine said she just knew she had to have us for her own wedding someday. (Which, by the way, is literally the greatest compliment to receive. Swoon!)

Two years of planning culminated in the most gorgeous, classic yet modern spring wedding at Yew Dell Botanical Gardens outside of Louisville, KY. Every detail was thoughtfully planned for an incredible experience for their guests, and every bit of visual decor oozed class & elegance (that’s just who Catharine is, though! I always tell her she reminds me of an old-timey movie star).

I know I’ve said it a million times, but having clients who love our work and trust us 110% is the biggest measure of success for us. Catharine told us over and over again how she wanted us to feel comfortable enough to just do our thing and capture the day however we wanted. As photographers, having that kind of permission slip means ultimate freedom to immerse ourselves in the day and capture it exactly as it speaks to us.

This vendor team was absolutely star-studded, and I would love to shout them out before diving into the photo collection… Christy Burton & her team kept the day running along seamlessly; Zachary Brady Designs installed the most mind-blowing spring florals (literally everywhere, the place was dripping in flowers!); Yew Dell Gardens hosted the festivities; The Mischief Maker created probably the most amazing cake I will ever see in my life; local Louisville artist Jenny Westenhofer did a live-painting at the reception; Lady Fingers Catering provided a delicious and elevated dinner menu; and Top Tier Band out of Nashville kept the dance floor bumping all night long.
