St. Petersburg Wedding Photographers
Pierce & Alec got married the first weekend of April in a tropical oasis literally buried in the middle of a city (they don’t call it Sunken Gardens for nothin’! The entire place is 15 feet below street level & feels like you’re in a Hawaiian jungle 🌴)
These two beautiful people are super in love, and they hosted the most beautiful wedding weekend to celebrate it. Their vision for an “Old Florida” soiree with their friends & family was so intimate & intentional (including their sweet one-eyed pup, Scout). And since they got engaged in Kawaii, Sunken Gardens in St. Pete was the obvious choice for venue because it TRULY feels like you’re in Hawaii.
Maybe most magical of all was all the butterflies – every time we turned around, I swear we saw at least 3-5 Monarchs or Swallowtails congregating around a butterfly bush. I mean, there was an INSANE amount of butterflies (you’ll see a little further down what I’m talking about). Pierce later told me that when her dad passed away, she told him to come back to her as a butterfly. He certainly made good on that promise to her 🦋
Enjoy some of our faves from their gallery, a mixture of both digital and 35mm film photography!

And just because you made it to the end of this crazzzyy long blog post (sorry, I literally could NOT narrow these down), you get to see the film photos we took at the day-after pool party Pierce & Alec hosted for their out-of-town guests! Pierce’s parents put in a ton of work renovating in preparation for the wedding weekend, and I’d say it all paid off because just look! at! this! patio! Also, I’m obsessed with the shot of Pierce & Alec signing their marriage license in their swimsuits, so iconic.
It was so great seeing everyone from the wedding again (only this time in swimsuits instead of cocktail attire) and getting to hang out before everyone parted ways. It was especially sweet seeing Morgan & John again (pictured in fourth photo – cuties!!!), seeing as they are the reason we are here in the first place (the referral of your family & friends is literally the greatest compliment in the world for us)! Meeting new folks and making friends is truly one of the best parts of this job, and we’re so grateful to Pierce & Alec for including us in their entire lineup of wedding weekend festivities.
